Holism
Holism emphasizes the interconnectedness and interdependence of different aspects of behavior, whereas reductionism breaks down behavior into simpler components. Holism considers the context and complexity of human behavior, while reductionism seeks to isolate and study individual components in isolation. Put another way, we could say that the  perspective of holism is more continuous, while the reductionist approach is more discreet.  This is similar to concepts applied to the study of quantum mechanics & general relativity.
